Agilitas-backed Danoffice IT acquires edgemo A/S

Agilitas, the pan-European mid-market private equity firm, has today announced that its portfolio company, Danoffice IT (“Danoffice” or “the company”), a sustainable IT provider, has entered into an agreement to acquire edgemo A/S, a Danish supplier of IT infrastructure products and solutions. Terms of the acquisition will not be disclosed, and the transaction is subject to approval from the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority.

Headquartered in Århus, Denmark, edgemo is a leading national provider of IT infrastructure products and solutions to both private and public customers, including large Danish corporates with subsidiaries in more than 80 countries. The company possesses a substantial IT consulting and managed service offering and has achieved numerous industry recognition standards for customer care quality and collaboration; edgemo is a nine-time Microsoft Gold Partner, a Citrix Platinum Partner and one of only three HP Enterprise Platinum partners in Denmark.

Danoffice supplies sustainable IT to a wide range of international clients, with significant cross-border operations and exposure to developing countries. The company provides high-value solutions in a compliant and secure manner, serving customers such as the United Nations, IGOs and NGOs with critical operations in remote parts of the globe. Danoffice also has a focus on value-added IT solutions to global corporate customers primarily with headquarters in Denmark or Switzerland, mid-market domestic customers and the public sector.

This marks the third add-on acquisition for Danoffice since Agilitas backed the buyout of the company in November 2017. This latest strategic acquisition is expected to further accelerate Danoffice’s plan to expand its product offering, customer base and geographical reach. It will reinforce Danoffice’s already strong offering; bolster its existing technical expertise and sales team; and deliver significant cross-selling opportunities and synergies. The acquisition will also strengthen Danoffice’s corporate segment and further diversify the company’s existing customer base, which includes UN organisations, non-governmental organisations, and charities. Danoffice will also benefit from edgemo’s highly complementary geographical footprint, which will expand the company’s presence across Denmark to cover the Copenhagen, Fyn and Jutland regions.

Agilitas has a successful track record of creating value in the Nordic region, using its deep transformational and sector expertise built through Agilitas’s backing of the Danish and Norwegian companies Recover Nordic, Reconor, Cibicom (previously known as Teracom Danmark), and Danoffice IT.

Lars Baun Jensen, CEO of Danoffice, commented: “We are looking forward to joining forces with a team who, in only nine years, have been able to make a significant footprint in the Danish IT market. Combining the unique strengths of the two companies will accelerate our growth to the benefit of both customers and employees, and continue our path of sustainable business transformation.”

Johannes Bach, Co-founder and Chairman & Lars Andersen, Co-Founder and CEO of edgemo, said: “It has been an exciting journey for us to grow edgemo to a successful national value added reseller with both consulting services and hardware sales. We welcome this new ownership as it will lead to the next phase in edgemo’s development. We are delighted to merge efforts in a setup that provides an even stronger value proposition for the Danish market and boosts our global reach and capabilities.”

Kevin Iermiin, of Agilitas and member of the Danoffice Board, said: “The acquisition of edgemo is an important strategic investment, as the company’s strong technical expertise and geographical footprint are highly complementary to Danoffice’s platform. These factors, along with its strong service offering and outstanding reputation, will play a vital role in supporting Danoffice’s ongoing transformation plan.”

Martin Calderbank, Managing Partner at Agilitas, said: “The edgemo acquisition marks another key milestone in Danoffice’s growth. It will help accelerate the progress Danoffice has made to date and better allow the business to fulfil its mission-critical purpose of delivering high-quality IT solutions to a network of international organisations.”
